VL1MA? 4L1MA? Wrong again...
« on: March 04, 2014, 16:03:44 UTC »
I worked VL1MA, just a quick rubber stamp job on 24.908 but when I checked with QRZ, VL1MA wasn't in the database.

4L1MA is a Georgian call, sounds similar and does exist in QRZ.  The reverse beacon network was the final arbiter: 4L1MA was heard all over EU at that time so I was wrong.  I'm embarrassed to have misread the call so many times but I'm not about to dispute the RBN record!!

Still, I've learned another use for RBN.  ;D
