Title: Index Laboratories Companion
Post by: PA1CJT on November 02, 2019, 12:01:03 UTC
Well I do have a QRP Plus (serial 1078) and would like to have a complete station. I noticed that there are just a few Companions around so I guess that I have to build one of my own. But......the manual I have has a schema but no PCB layout or foto's how it is build. The request I have is if someone within the QRP Club who has a Companion is willing to make pictures from the inside to give me the idea whou it is build up.
I think only to build te LC tuner and really have to think about the filter and battery loading.

If there is someone which experiences of the Companion plse react as well

Good afternoon Kees,

I already found the instruction manual for QRP PLUS Indes Laboratories. But can you give me more détails about that companion ?
Is it a receiver that goes with a transmitter ?

In this manual, there are 10 pages of circuit diagrams:

QRP-XMTR PCB ASSEMBLY

Next, I will try to find something for your Kenwood TS-130V and will come back.

I hope it help you, anyway let me know,  ;D

Hi Michel, i found the documentation here ( https://w1hue.org/QRP_PLUS_Docs.html ) and pictures can be found on the internet. In fact it is just and atu which fits to the QRP Plus radio. The othe rinteresting thing is that you could build in a rechargeable battery and a filter. Not everyone was happy about the filter due to the fact that is uses power and drains the battery.
