Title: QRV Isle of Skye IOTA EU-008
Post by: GM0LVI on July 24, 2014, 21:50:00 UTC
I'll be QRV as GM0LVI/P from Skye  EU-008 from 26th to 30th July, mainly 20 and 17m CW.
IF!! I can get internet access I'll post times and QRG here. Take off to EU and NA is good as I'll be on a coastal site and last trip I worked many stations in EU and also a good number in NA (and one in Antarctica). No QRPC members though :(

Not making a serious entry. Just giving away a few points. Have not got an antenna up yet, too tired after 6 hour drive on very twisty roads!

I only made 72 Qs in the contest, worked 25 Islands. No computer logging so not easy spotting dupes.
I've been using 20m gp but found 17m better for DX so took 20m down in wind and rain this morning and replaced with 17m gp. Worked  W7OO at 1806Z as we'll as a few others in NA. Some surprising short skip later at around 1826 when I works 3 G stations and got 579 reports.
