Post by: PD1AHM on February 11, 2014, 18:49:30 UTC
I finally got tru the big pile up on 10 meters.
28.490 split 15 up I was in qso with FT5ZM (Amsterdam and St. Paul Islands)
With 5 Watt in ssb (KX-3) I was calling for hours and I was surprised wenn I heard my call !!!
12142 km (7544 miles). It made my day :)

My congrats, that really a great thing, and on SSB. I know how tight it is on those piles, also on CW. Hope other members can do the same thing. This realy shows that QRP is something to count on, it rules.  8)

Well done indeed, particularly managing to do it on SSB. Their splits have been about the widest I've ever heard and they've certainly consumed a substanial portion of the RF spectrum.

@Juergen,
You did a very good job, congratulations with your result.

@Nicola,
I use a tree element mini beam from Altron, type AQ620 (3 meter boom/ 3 meter elements)
It's 30 years old and last month I took it of the roof and in the garage for a check up and cleaned it.
So it's almost like new and the results are good :)

Don´t know what´s going wrong with my keyboard when i wrote this but correct is:   "but 10 & 15m in the phone slots i´ve never worked (don´t use SSB)"

Only as a "correction"  ;)  My 2 band challenge was o.k. for me to work the #7 in the most wanted list  ;D
