Title: QRP at the beachhouse with my HW8
Post by: PG4I on September 25, 2016, 09:06:23 UTC
This is how I spent the last 2 weeks: in a beach house with a fiberglass mast and a 20m dipole. Propagation being bad, it was compensated by the sunny weather and 30+ degrees C!

A good day of QRPing in nice weather is like fishing.  Even if you don't catch anything it's enjoyable.  I haven't had my HW-8 on for quite some time.  It was my first HF rig and got my first CW contact on it with over 1000 miles per watt.  Lots of fun!
