I'm an avid QRP'er from NE Ohio, and enjoy operating QRP Portable with my FT-817nd. I have a sack full of different QRP antennas that I have built, but my favorite is a home brew 40m New Carolina Windom made from 20ga stranded wire and fed with RG174U Micro Coax. Both baluns are wound on ferrite rods, and the entire setup fits in a 1-quart plastic freezer bag. You can see my portable setup and more of my antennas on my QRZ.com page.
