Title: Hello From Ben W5JZ
Post by: W5JZ on February 18, 2014, 20:55:28 UTC
Hello to all the QRP members,
I have been licensed since 1955 and have consistently participated and enjoyed our hobby. I operated as G5BOL for two years and enjoyed being on the other end of the DX QSO. While in the UK my rig was an Argonaut 505 and at the 5 watt power level I made contacts world wide using CW and SSB modes. My current QRP rig is a Flex 1500 and I'm still at the 5 watt power level. As you can see from my QRZ page, there are many boat anchors in my shack along with some contemporary rigs. I operate all the radio equipment in my shack from 160 meters to 1296 MHz. However my first love is and always will be QRP. I'm retired and am available for schedules. My small antenna farm consists of an end fed wire, and balanced fed doublet antennas. I'm honored to be a member of this prestigious organization and I hope to have the opportunity to work some of you.
Best regards,
Ben
