CQ WPX QRP Assisted
« on: December 29, 2013, 21:18:52 UTC »
Last year, CQ started the QRP Assisted category for their WPX contest.  You can get the rules and other information here: http://www.cqwpx.com/rules.htm

2014 CQ WPX Contest Dates:
   SSB: March 29-30, 2014
   CW: May 24-25, 2014

Starts: 0000 UTC Saturday, Ends: 2359 UTC Sunday

The Explorers Radio Club will be sponsoring both the SSB and CW plaques for 2014.  Assisted is a great way to get going with CW contesting.

There are some big guns that run QRP unassisted, but I am hoping assisted mode will get those with more modest stations going, as well as, get those working on CW skills confidence to contest.

Thanks for the heads-up Doug!
I'll probably give both SSB and CW contests a try.
