Title: Fun on 20m QRPP
Post by: GM0LVI on April 11, 2016, 20:18:06 UTC
Had an entertaining episode on 20m this evening at around 1930 UTC. I'd been up on 17m trying to make contacts with NA but conditions were not good and only managed one QRP QSO so I moved down to 14.060 and off the back of the quad heard a 599 CQ from IZ4VSZ and my first reaction was - he's QRO in the QRP section of the band but it turned out he was QRP and after our initial QRP contact we both gradually reduced power to 100 mW and he was still 579 to 589 and was giving me 579. I would have liked to try even lower power but 100mW is as low as I can go with my KX3.
Great fun!!

And the fun got even better -
2x QRP (5W) with 8P6BX at 2112 and then at 2133 VE1DT when I went down to 100 mW :-)
