My new QRP rig
(1/1)
PG4I:
I tried out a new setup during the CQWW contest.
Bottom of the picture, right to left: 14 MHz VFO, R1 direct conversion receiver (design by Rick Campbell KK7B) and transmitter with 2N3553, 2 Watt out max. The modular approach is very inviting for making experiments, e.g. I plan to replace the VFO with a DDS design in the near future.
PG4I:
Just finished a QSO with the new setup. I have added a DDS (Alu case on the right). It is basically a little AD9850 board from ebay, controlled by an arduino UNO. The DDS has a RIT and LCD. On the back I have a PTT input from the keyer which controls the RX/TX shift...
GM0LVI:
Some neat engineering there Joop!
