KB3SFX:
Hello everyone
This question is mostly for people who learned morse code but had trouble doing it.
How what problems did you have and how did you get past the problems?
I am determined to learn morse. But it looks like it's going to be an uphill battle. I didn't expect it to be easy. That just makes the accomplishment even better.
Thanks for any advice you can offer

You can practice with this: http://www.qrpclub.org/qrp/index.php?topic=25.0
Step by step, unhurriedly... ;)

Sorry for late reply Lee - I missed your post in November.
I found learning morse not too difficult; it just took a while. What is I think quite important is to find a bit of software that will help measure your progress as this does provide some positive feedback to encourage you to keep at it. Progress is often slow and you'll find that you seem to reach plateaux from time to time where you don't seem to be moving on, but this is natural and you get over them.
I found that once I'd mastered the code, getting my speed up to 10 wpm and then to 15 wpm was much more enjoyable when I worked on-air with a friend who was also working towards his morse test. I also used the ARRL CW broadcasts to add a bit of interest.
Good luck. Stick in - it's worth it!!
