As we noticed in recent times it has lids increased around dxpeditions. We must help to spread our disapproval while also brusch up our own behavior on the bands.
See this talk about running DXpeditions (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svLlfrFA-1E#t=17)at both ends. The lecture is about 45 minutes by English speakers.
Here is the DX CODE of Conduct (http://dx-code.org/) an ideal means to keep themselves ”on the line”. In addition, I now want to strike a blow for leaving QRP sections of the bands free from QRO traffic, especially do not need expeditions or event stations lie there. :-[ ^-^

I got up on my hind legs and made a small observation about dxpeditions and qrp frequencies on the Amsterdam Facebook page. I did expect to be ragged by outraged supporters, but it was worse than that. I was ignored completely.
I guess it's an open secret and nobody cares. >:(

Thank you, Skipper, I did notice. I listened to the recording you posted. I did not like it. I do not like the central tenet of the presentation, which was that dxpeditions are desirable, normal and worth preserving. I don't think they are.
They are artificial. Life is too short for DX chasing, IOTA chasing ....
Life is a gamble. It comes with no guarantees. We live it one day at a time. Why not take operating radio the same way? Turn on the rig, listen to the bands, take your chances with the ionosphere. Some days you get a nice surprise, most days you do not. That's life.
The world has some hams suffering from the Screaming Mimi syndrome. They buy a basic station, erect a modest antenna and consult the Oracle internet. Suitably armed with everything but realistic expectations they then lose it when easy success eludes them. Frustrated and disappointed, devoid of self control, they behave badly on air rather like children having tantrums. Ever tried reasoning with a child in tantrum?
The world would not end if there was never again a Dxpedition. Honestly. Nobody would die, the oceans wouldn't boil, stars would not fall from the sky. But genuine, unplanned, unexpected long distance contacts would be treasured much,much more.
They might even have some meaningful content.

I'm not against DXpeditions of any kind and in the past have worked many of them, but the FT5 scrum on all bands has been about the worst I've ever encountered. The spread on their calling QRG has been far, far too wide and has taken no account at all of band plans.
