Title: Posted several times but not said hello
Post by: f8wbd on March 30, 2014, 12:55:53 UTC
I heard a story of two Englishman who spent 30 years on a deserted island but never spoke to each other because they had not been properly introduced. Cute tale.

I am F8WBD operating from the Brittany coast of NW France. Retired Yank who lives most of the year here. Also with a call N2UGB from upstate New York which I do visit.

I am 100% QRP CW. Rigs are FT-817ND, Heathkit HW-8, and OHR100A. Antenna is a low-hanging Par EF-20 so only active on 20M band. Straight keys do the heavy work. Ex USAF radioman from many years ago.

I tend to operate in spurts. That is, one or two days of heavy activity, then several days of quiet time. Sometimes band conditions determine that frequency. Also, operate early/late evenings so fatigue can be a factor. If I am into a good book, sometimes reluctant to put it down.
