Just back from 3 weeks as SV8/GM0LVI/P on Zakynthos. For a very short loaded GP the Buddistick performed remarkably well. It was clamped to our balcony with two thin wire radials (marked at approx lengths for 10 to 30m). I also took a FG-01 analyser which certainly helped a lot when setting up the antenna in 30+ degree heat.
I didn't do as much operating as I'd hoped because :- A. It was too hot during the day: B. I was too lazy: C. Conditions were very poor (picked up amazingly the day we returned home!!!): C. Best condx were during evenings when we were out socialising.
I did though manage to make about 70 contacts around EU and was very pleased to work GM0GAV who lives just a mile away from my home and also to work one JA at 559 2x QRP.
I'll be back in SV8 in early September.
