Title: Hello from the Bayou
Post by: KD5DE on August 18, 2015, 12:30:43 UTC
I was just invited to the club. Have been a QRPer since 1987. Mostly home brew. Still have and use a Ten Tec 509, also 817nd, a youkits, and just began on the softrock adventure. Best so far has been into Germany with 3 watts PSK a 8129 KM deal. Favourite band 10 when hot.

Welcome to the club Mel.
You shouldn't find making contacts into EU too difficult if you hit on good propagation (not great now!!).
I've made many 2x QRP contacts with NA on mainly 17 and 20m with operators who are often using just simple wire antennas.
