GQRP Rishworth QRP Convention 25 October 2014
« on: October 26, 2014, 01:21:04 UTC »
Hi Folks,
I just got back from the GQRP  Rishworth QRP Convention, which was well attended and very successful.  Awards were presented to Rev. George Dobbs G3RJV  and to his wife to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the club he founded. Fabio IK0IXI of ARS Italia (Rome circle?) was  there to present a plaque to George Dobbs G3RJV to mark the 40th anniversary also.  Fabio received a great round of applause for his presentation speech.  QRP-ARCI had a fine display of QRP Quarterlies; I have no doubt they recruited many new members.  Also present was Dick Pascoe G0BPS  past President of QRP-ARCI and member of the QRP Hall of Fame, inducted in 1997. Many traders were present, notable amongst whom were Sotabeams and Kanga Products with their wide range of kits. FISTS was also represented. It was a long day but a very good one.

Another thumbs up for the G/QRP convention. An excellent day. The talk Richard G3CWI did on portable operating was excellent, very professional with the odd bit of humour thrown in.
