Title: Transceivers
Post by: G0nmd on December 15, 2013, 15:46:30 UTC
Transceivers here are all Elecraft:
KX3  Main shack rig and portable, very capable
K1    Used mainly portable, 40,30,20 & 17mtrs brilliant rig
K2    Sitting on a shelf, but still loved... The GREAT qrp rig.

All aerials home made, doublet and vertical in the garden, 50MHz dipole in attic with a 17 mtr doublet, 50 MHz Moxon in garden in the summer.
For portable use, mainly random wires, EFHWs, plus a homebrew multi-section vertical (like Buddipole/PAC12/etc).

72 to all,
Les

I have 2 QRP kit transceivers. One is a Rockmite and the other is a Wilderness Radio SST. The Rockmite's output is 500mW and the SST is about 2 watts. They are both hard to find now. SWL no longer makes the Rockmite although it has been kitted by another company. Wilderness radio is running out of stock, mainly parts from Japan.
