My first introduction to Radio

(1/1)

WA5PQL:
I was digging through my father's attic collection and found my first radio "Kit" (circa 1950 experimenter board). My dad helped me assemble it on a piece of 1/4-inch plywood and at the time it was "state of the art"! From that first kit, grew my interest in radio which eventually lead to me obtaining my novice ticket in 1966.
The board has one RCA 280-417 tube and a multitude of brass circuit clips for hooking up different circuits. I was disappointed that I couldn't find the original kit project sheets. Maybe someone has knowledge of the kit and could shed some light on it's name so I could do some internet searching for the original instruction set.

Wow what a find! does it still work?
You are fortunate to still have it.

WA5PQL:
I am sure it will, if I can find some project building sheets.
