Hi Marty,
Here in the UK I've found that Radiospares (RS Components) very good for enclosures, plastic and metal and in all shapes and sizes.
Happy hunting!

Hello to all. This past winter, I completed several of the Universal 1 watter
transceivers. I too searched for a durable metal case for these radios with
the intention of using them portable and at home.
After looking at the prices of available metal boxes/cases on the market
it's surprising the costs of a new case. My xyl came up with the idea of using
a Manual Data Switch Box. They are on the market to switch, two DB-9, video
monitors, printers, RJ-12 and such. If you use " manual data switch box " as
a search term on google it'll bring them up.
They have a sturdy metal box with a decent knob and loads of hookup wire
inside. She ordered a stack of them for 9 bucks each (free shipping if your into
google prime) anyways these things are housing many of my current
Qrp projects and other projects still under construction and development.
The sheet metal these boxes are made of are quite sturdy.
