PACC contest with QRP
« on: February 09, 2014, 20:25:55 UTC »
This weekend I participated for a couple of hours in the Dutch PACC contest. Most QSOs were made calling CQ with 5 Watts output to a linear loaded dipole at 10 meters high.

DX QSO's were made with VE9ML(NB), RT9A, 5B/RN3QO, K1GQ(NH), R9AX, W9OA/9(IL), K6ND(MA), N8II(WV) and UA9W. Best DX being W9OA/9 at 6525 km. 78 QSOs were made.

I monitored the reverse beacon network whilest calling CQ and got spotted by ZL2HAM at 1748z with a 5 dB report! Yay!  :))

That's brilliant Joop - excellent for just 5W.
What band were you on when ZL2HAM spotted you?

Hi Dave. My current QRP rig (a BITX transceiver) only has 20 meters...  ;)
All QSOs were made in CW.
