A (re)introduction from Arizona

Good Morning, all.....

I have been a member of QRPClub.org for several years (since 2013?), but have not been very active. I kind of took a break from Amateur Radio for a couple of years, but now I am back, and am getting re-interested in QRP operation. I use a Yaesu FT-817 as my primary rig, and have also been using a NorCal 40A (works great as a very small/light portable rig). In the field, I am using a Pacific Antennas PAC-12... although I will be building a 40M dipole for portable use with the 40A soon.  Hope to work you all on the air.

Can I suggest that if if are building a 40m dipole for /P operation you think about making it multi-band either by adding traps or links. A linked dipole would cost next to nothing more and would open up other bands to you. A 20/40m dipole would be good for DX and more local contacts too.

I may do that. I just got my hands of a Hendricks PFR-3 (40, 30 and 20M), so I will need antennas for at least those 3 bands. I would prefer to build my own, as opposed to just buying one.    ;)
Also, I ran a small group call the Amateur Radio Portable Operations Group for several years. I ahve seriously been considering reactivating the group..... more on that as it happens.
