Post by: VE2TH on June 02, 2016, 21:30:59 UTC
Hello all,

Please take note on your calendars, it is very important not to miss this one.

ST-PAUL ISLAND, CANADA  http://www.cy9dxpedition.com/news--sponsors.html (http://www.cy9dxpedition.com/news--sponsors.html)

It is not too often we have the chance to work this rare one.  ::)

CLUB LOG MOST WANTED LIST OF MAY 2016, THIS COUNTRY IS AT:RANK: 54. CY9 SAINT PAUL ISLAND, IOTA: NA-094, GRID LOCATOR: FN97.

Check the web page and look at the video. For the first time, the crew should be transported via helicopter.

So for us, with our peanut whistle  it will be a great way to work that rare one. ;D

Good luck to all, and let us know if you worked that one.

72/73 Michel VE2TH,
The lighthouse keeper didit...

Missed it Michel. I was either too early or late in bed!!
Not on my 'needed' list though as I worked with QRO a few years ago, but a QRP contact would have been an achievement.

Hello Dave,

Here I worked them QRP on 20/30/40 meters CW, I have this Island confirmed on other bands, not bad.
I hit the jackpot very easily as it is only 854 KM in straight line from here.

I still need CY0, Sable Island on the same bands, this one  is at 945 KM from here.

Patience, sure one day or another an expedition should be there again.

72 Dave, have a nice week.

Michel

Missed CY9 too. But think there will be some chances more in the rest of my live to catch CY9 and CY0  ;) ;D
