Title: Two nice surprises this morning!!!
Post by: VE2TH on May 06, 2015, 21:23:17 UTC
Hello All,

I woke up early this morning, light up the radio , listen, listen, listen the bands seems dead.

Switch to 30 meters, and Heard VK3XU, Drew from Melbourne. @ 07:50 Z, He was in QSO, and when he finished, I gave him one call and he came right back. I was 559 and he was 579 running 100 watts into a simple dipole antenna. Here as usual 5 watts into an invertred vee. We have had a very nice QSO.

After the QSO I heard VK7BO, Alan in Tasmania @ 08:03 Z he answered after my second call, Got 449 and he was 579. we chat a bit, and then no one else on 30 meters.

What a nice way to start the day!!!

It makes my day as we do not hear too often this part of the world.

QRP is MAGIC  :-*

72 TO ALL,

Michel The lighthouse keeper \ QRP  di di dit...
