Hello to all
« on: December 21, 2013, 17:04:49 UTC »
My name is Steve. My QTH is Cheyenne, WY. QRP is probably my favorite amateur radio mode. I also am on PSK31 and do a little 100 watt HF. Living in my location, I believe, sometimes limits me to the number of QRP contacts. Wyoming is remote as far as radio communication is concerned. I do not fully endorse the use of amplifiers. I believe in using the least amount of power to get the job done. I am active in a lot of local community activities involving radio. Those are mostly on 2 meters.
I use a Yeasu 817 ND with a 43 foot telescoping vertical antenna. We have a lot of wind here, some the antenna is at it's lower height most of the time.
I am looking forward to communicating with other members of the QRP Club through this forum and hopfully on the air.
Thank you for inviting me to join this club
