Title: Heathkit HW series, 5 watts input
Post by: ve3lyx on February 19, 2014, 13:23:48 UTC
Recently because  nearby ham had one I searched and got  HW30 Heathkit lunch box, that is the 2M AM version. Nothing wrong even after all these years. It works perfectly. Heathkit also made a 6 meter version and a ten meter version. 10M AM is still very much alive so I am on the prowl for a HW19 "tener" I think it would be fun to have and use. It will have to be cheap and repairable if not working but there must be one out there with my name on it somewhere. This one set me back $19 plus shipping.

I will probably built  VFO for input to the crystal socket but that shouldn't be a big problem
