Title: Nice QRP QSO
Post by: VE2TH on May 15, 2014, 20:37:46 UTC
Hello all,

Just did another nice QRP  Qso right now with GM0HCQ/MM, Mike, on 18,088 Mhz. He is now located
at 4° N, -35° W, and he is bound to Newfoundland for May 27, 2014.

I have at least a nice surprise almost everyday, and it is real fun.

Well done Michel! Mike's a good pal of mine he lives just 12 miles away. Last time I worked him he was at 12 degrees South and I cheated - I used 100 Watts, though did manage a contact when I was /P on Isle of Skye a couple of weeks ago and running 5W to the fishing pole. If you're not already Mike's got a good website at www.gm0hcq.com (http://www.gm0hcq.com)

Great! Yes I just finished to look at his web site, it is really very instructive and the photos are amazing.

I like the way we can take track of the ship with the real time maps.

I worked him before in 2008 on 20 meters, and now on 17,

By the way we missed each other when you were on the Isle of Skye  :-\
The conditions here were very poor.

Anyway we shall have a chance later on,  on the bands Hi!
