 ;D It's a Tenson shirt Dave...

I might be staying in SV8 in a couple of weeks, one of your hangouts. Either on Corfu or Lefkada.

I made a total of 9 QSO's this afternoon. Ukraine on 20 and OK, SP, DL, F and LY on 40. First time I have used the endfed, nice antenna! When the sun was going down I was observing the Reverse Beacon Network when calling CQ and was heard as far as Wales and Sweden on 40 meters.

So, I hope to activate I0/PG4I/P next...

Here is a picture of me in my little outdoor shack!

Hi guys, I am now in Siena, I5/PG4I/P. Already made 2 QSO's on 40 with my endfed antenna. The campsite in Verona did not have enough room for antenna's. Look for me around 7030 kHz.

Propagation on 40 seems to be improving. First stop will be Verona, Italy. Hopefully there will be some room on the campsite for a 40m antenna...

Joop

Sked Board / PG4I travelling through Europe
« Last post by PG4I on April 08, 2018, 10:19:51 UTC »
Hi guys,

Yesterday I have started a long journey through Europe with our Volkswagen camper. I will be taking a Heathkit HW8 and a spiderbeam mast. We will be travelling south without any particular plan. Will keep you informed of my whereabouts.

Regards,
Joop

Mike's Tavern / QSLs can be hard work!
« Last post by GM0LVI on April 03, 2018, 21:50:21 UTC »
I’ve spent several hours today dealing with about 150 QSLs from the bureau. QSLs for QSOs from home are easy to deal with as QSOs are on computer, but the /P QSOs are another matter entirely as I use paper logging when /P and have five or six different locations some with multiple activations over several years. Some /P cards I received were from as far back as 2004. It’s good to read nice comments like ‘Thanks Dave for IOTA XXXX or ‘Thanks for the 2x QRP QSO’, but I do wish some folk would take more time and care with their handwriting as some dates and times can be very hard to decipher and take quite a long time and lots of guesses to track down.
